Rev. Dr. Tamara D. England, is an anointed preacher, author, and community leader who, guided by faith continually strives to live authentically and make an impact through restorative ministry using the gifts God has given to her.
Rev. Dr. Tamara D. England is an anointed preacher, author, and community leader who, guided by faith continually strives to live authentically and make an impact through restorative ministry using the gifts God has given to her.
Dr. England serves as the Senior Pastor of the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. She is also the founder of Journey Ministries, through which she facilitates programming designed to provide space for women’s growth and empowerment.
A strong advocate for preserving the history, culture, and lives of African Americans, Dr. England has served and continues to serve on various commissions, boards, task forces, and community organizations. Currently, she is the President of the Banneker Douglass Tubman Museum Foundation and the Vice President of Ruth’s Pink House. She is also a proud and dedicated life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Dr. England has developed educational programs aimed at improving health outcomes and is the author of two books: The Journey to Self… Who Knows What a Woman Can Be When She Is Free to Be Herself and 9 Weeks to Discovering, Becoming & Being You. She holds degrees from the University of Maryland, St. Mary’s Seminary and University, and United Theological Seminary.
Dr. England is the proud mother of Morgan and Kristen and MeeMaw of Zakai and Rabiah.
